If you haven't listened to the first podcast, I'm going to tell you it's a must listen. I know this is painful for all you rule breakers, but I don't want you out in the cold because you jumped ahead.

Foundations can either help you build a solid infrastructure or chase money. I'm not here to point fingers because everyone has a part to play in social good. The question is how will you make it happen on your end? We're both nonprofits wanting to thrive and help our communities.

As this will be another 2-part episode, this was originally inspired by a blog I wrote a couple of years ago. I couldn't keep it under 20 minutes after starting. When I started my consulting company, my goal was to be the best nonprofit and faith-based consultant in SW Washington (aka, Vancouver or Clark County). From a nonprofit standpoint, I went to the benchmark organization who rules the funding, which is the Community Foundation of Southwest Washington (aka, CFSWW).

In the last two years, I've ensured to stay out of the politicking. As a political science nerd, these last couple of years have been great water cooler content. Politics are alive, and depending on your stance it's either going well or bad. In this episode, none of that will be mentioned. Haha!

In this second edition of Push Through the Noise, distractions are one thing but fears are something else. Honestly, our fears are really the limits that keep us from reaching our own goals. However, the road to accomplishing that goal or task is much harder, lonelier and difficult than other paths so we choose something less resistant.
